In a historic milestone for Mumbai, the residents of Nirmal Lifestyle Residency Cooperative Housing Society (CHS) in Mulund West, located on LBS Marg, came together to organize a grand Shree Ayyappa Puja within the society premises on December 23, 2023. This marked the first time a residential society in the city has organized such a religious ceremony at such a grand level within their own premises.
The auspicious ceremony commenced at the break of dawn, at 5:30 am, resonating with devotional fervor. The puja, spanning throughout the day, culminated in a spiritually enriching experience with the distribution of Mahaprasadam at 10 pm. Residents, adorned in traditional attire, actively participated in the rituals, creating an atmosphere of unity and devotion.
The organizing committee, led by Mr. Raja Shetty, played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the event. Other committee members, including Pravin, Shankar, Deepak, Shanti, Sudarshan, and Mr. Kumar, worked tirelessly to make the event a resounding success. 
A highlight of the day was the Bhajan session, an integral part of the puja, which was conducted by the renowned Shree Sharavana Bhajan Sangham from Bhandup West. The soul-stirring renditions were led by Shri Girish Nair, capturing the essence of the spiritual occasion. The residents were enthralled by the melodious bhajans, and the positive energy resonated throughout the society.
Speaking to Mr. Raja Shetty, the committee expressed their delight at the overwhelming response from the residents. “We are thrilled to see the enthusiasm and participation of our fellow residents in organizing the first-ever Shree Ayyappa Puja within our society at such a grand level. It’s heartening to witness the sense of community and devotion that has blossomed through this event,” he remarked.
The event not only brought together the residents but also fostered a sense of cultural and spiritual enrichment.
